Business correspondence address: to be confirmed before public launch. This notice describes the current website and enquiry process; the final hosting and business records arrangements must be checked before launch.
Who is responsible
Tony’s Mobile Valeting Services, based in Norwich, is responsible for personal information received through business enquiries and bookings. Contact Tony at enquiry@tonysmobilevaletingnorwich.co.uk or 07578 875661 with privacy questions or requests.
Information you provide
When you contact Tony, your message may contain your name, phone number, email address, postcode or visit address, car details, preferred appointment, photographs and information about the work requested. Booking correspondence and payment or invoice records may also be needed. Please avoid sending unnecessary personal information or photographs of people or personal documents.
How the enquiry builder works
The website builds an enquiry in your browser. It does not upload the form to a server, store your entries in browser storage or send them automatically. Choosing the text or email link opens your own app with a prepared message. Your app provider may handle or save that message under its own privacy terms. Tony receives the information only when you send it or contact him directly.
Why information is used and the lawful basis
- Enquiries, quotes and bookings: to take steps at your request before entering a contract and to perform the agreed service.
- Accounts and tax records: to comply with applicable legal obligations.
- Service issues, complaints and security: legitimate interests in operating the business, protecting its systems and handling disputes, balanced against your rights.
- Optional promotional photographs or marketing: separate permission will be requested where required. Sending a quote enquiry is not consent to marketing or to publication of your vehicle photographs.
Who may receive information
Information may be handled by the email, telecommunications, website hosting and payment providers used to deliver the service, and professional advisers or authorities where necessary. Information is not offered for sale. Hosting services may process technical request information such as IP address, browser details, requested pages and timestamps for delivery and security. The final provider and its logging arrangements must be verified when the site is deployed.
Cookies and external services
This version of the website does not set cookies, use analytics, embed advertising or store form details in local storage. Photographs and styling are served from the website itself. Your browser still communicates technical request information to the website host. Links to email, text messaging and external websites use the privacy arrangements of the service you choose. This notice must be reviewed if tracking or other third-party tools are added.
International processing
Depending on the final providers used for hosting, email or messaging, information may be processed outside the UK. Before using such providers for business records, the business must check that an applicable UK adequacy arrangement or appropriate safeguards, such as approved contractual protections, are in place. Contact Tony for details of the providers and safeguards used for your information.
How long information is kept
Enquiry information should be retained only for as long as it is needed to answer the enquiry and manage reasonable follow-up. Booking and accounting records may need longer retention to meet tax obligations or deal with complaints and legal claims. Retention is determined by the purpose, applicable legal requirements and whether a dispute is ongoing; information should then be securely deleted or anonymised. Ask Tony about the retention applicable to a particular record.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you can request access, correction, erasure, restriction or transfer of your information. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful processing.
You have a right to object to processing based on legitimate interests, and an absolute right to object to direct marketing. Email Tony to exercise these rights. Identity checks may be needed; requests are normally answered within one month, subject to lawful extensions. Some records may have to be kept despite an erasure request.
Your choices and complaints
You do not have to use the enquiry builder. Tony needs enough contact, vehicle and location information to provide an accurate quote and arrange a visit. Without it, the service may not be possible. The website does not make automated booking decisions or use profiling.
If you have a concern, contact Tony first. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
Changes to this notice
This page will be updated if the service or data handling changes. The date above identifies the current version.
